Wow, it's been a while since I've updated.  Done with sophomore year, summer has passed, and the new school year has just begun.  I've learned and gone through a lot this summer.  I joined small group Bible study, college group Sunday school, worked in a school office, teacher aided for a CPS kindergarten class, worked as a substitute teacher at a summer program, taught 1st and 2nd grade Sunday school, hung out and met up with some people, Jr. Camp counselor year #2, took a summer school class, and just so much more.  I tried to squeeze in much as I possibly could in my 3 months back in Chicago.  I had things in mind that I wanted out of summer, but God had his own agenda.  I learned a lot from everything that I did, but God spoke to me the most when I worked with 1st and 2nd grade.  Yeah, I was one of the teachers planning out the lesson and trying to teach the material to the kids for 5 Sundays, but when I step back and look at it, I needed to hear every single one of those 5 lessons.  I realized that we live in a world that makes Christianity so fuzzy and so complicated.  God used the 1st and 2nd grade kids to help me see that the Christian faith is simple.  I've been so caught up in so much stuff, I sometimes forgot the true meaning behind some things.  I was very humbled by this experience.
It was a great summer.  No family vacation this summer, but that's ok I had a blast none the less.  One thing I know for sure, I LOVEEEE kids.  I have in classroom experience this semester!  I am excited and nervous at the same time.  Let's have some pictures:

1st grade- one of the 4 classes I substituted for.  This program was in Chinatown, and I loved working in Chinatown.  The kids are very interesting and arriving in Chinatown at 7:30 in the morning is very yummy =)  My lunch break and after work was just as yummy hehe

Oh man, spring break was too cool for school...how I miss you dear spring break.
Haha, come to think of it, I have absolutely NO pictures from my spring break.  I was too busy having fun.
But heres some things I did:

dim summm!

egg tarts!! i made neither dim sum or egg tarts, but i did do a TON of cooking.  I even made dinner under 30 minutes, Rachael Ray would be proud

body worlds 2 at MSI chicago!  hurry guys only 5 weeks left and it is soooo worth seeing, even if you have seen body worlds 1!

oh yes another perk to try to get you to go see body worlds 2: you get to touch lungs and livers and kidneys and stuff.  how often do you get to do that?!

I don't know what it is, but there is just something about my parent's voice when they talk to me on the phone that makes my heart skip a beat every single time.  Every time my dad answers the phone and says, "It's my little girl" or how my mom would say "little daughter" in Chinese.  It is just so comforting.  But how often do I forget that my Heavenly Father is comforting as well.  He is able to love me more than ever.
